Opened in 1995 as University Dining Hall, this building adjacent to Highsmith University Union was renovated in 2007 as a “one-stop” location for students’ convenience. Downstairs, it houses the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Registar among other student-centric services.
Also known as "The Caf," "Dining Hall," and "University Hall," Brown Hall's buffet-style cafeteria offers a healthy selection of locally grown foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The rotating menu -- includes options for vegetarian and vegan diets as well -- will go for months before repeating itself. So you'll never get bored eating here!
The main floor of Brown Hall houses our main Dining facilities, which offers many options for students, faculty, staff and visitors in a convenient, friendly environment. The selection changes daily, and always includes a healthy selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Take a look at today's menu!
The bottom floor of Brown Hall houses Admissions, the OneStop Offices, and Financial Aid.

The Student Environmental Center initiated the first student-run campus garden, located behind the Dining Hall. It is managed by a volunteer garden crew under the direction of the Sustainable Food & Landscape Intern. This includes raised beds for various vegetables and herbs and multiple fruit trees to be harvested and used within the UNC Asheville community.
